About
Experimenting to recover existing energies +FRAGILE was born as a practice of Aver Cura, a current that aims to design the future by living the present, and preserving the past.
In a world that is increasingly fast-paced and indifferent to fragility, objects, homes and the places we inhabit require responsibility, competence and rigour.
Without Care, sustainability, as the transmission of what has been and what is to future generations, is meaningless.
In order to pro-iectare (cast forward) and pass on to the next, it is necessary to analyse and understand the lived and living world.
+FRAGILE is a design and architecture practice based in Venice, conceived by Francesca Torsello, a young architect who grew up breathing the world of architecture and design since childhood thanks to her father Alberto – founder of studio TA – and her grandfather Paolo – former IUAV lecturer in the field of restoration. The project is rooted in the social, territorial and material theme of fragility.
Glass, fragile and at the same time versatile, is at the centre of the first design phase: the project intends to re-think and re-innovate Murano craftsmanship, developing the limits and potential of glass, between technological innovation and tradition.
